This prestigious sea front development is now complete. RG Falla Limited were appointed to design and construct 34 luxury Open and Local Market apartments in Spring 2016, commencing with demolition, piling and anchoring works.
Project Director Mike Wagstaff said “This has been a very complex project, on a unique and demanding site, with structural and logistical challenges along the way. Construction involved a concrete frame with both traditional and modern facade techniques all built to high standards of air tightness, thermal performance and acoustic separation to creat a comfortable environment to live in, with spectacular views across Havelet Bay that includes Castle Cornet, Herm, Sark and Jersey.”
"Everyone involved in this complex project can be truly proud of the final outcome which sits nicely into its surroundings but special mention must be made of our architects, Lovell Ozanne & Partners and our structural engineers, Dorey, Lyle & Ashman" said Managing Director Mark Palfrey.
An interesting element of the build was that the old brewery building, with its Georgian façade and arched entrance was taken down piece by piece and numbered, and replaced exactly as it was on the old building. The development consists of four blocks; Reef House, Bowline House, Halyard House and Carrick House, and has views over Havelet Bay, Valles des Terres, Castel Cornet and the other islands.
Client Comprop are now marketing the 26 Local and 8 Open Market apartments as ‘luxury living in one of Guernsey’s most sought after locations’ through their agents Cooper Brouard; www.haveletwaters.gg.
