CHAS is the most well-known of the health and safety assessment schemes approved by the umbrella organisation SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement), which demonstrates to potential clients that we comply with the health and safety core assessment criteria, as recognised by the HSE.
CHAS is a nationally recognised pre-approval scheme which allows us to prove to clients that our health and safety policies and procedures are up to date and comply with current legislation at procurement and prequalification assessment stage.
The purpose of CHAS accreditation is to help potential clients in the assessment of contractor health and safety competence. It can help clients by reducing the lengthy process of assessing health and safety standards individually. It helps us by reducing the time consuming process of completing and submitting full details of health and safety processes on each project we tender for.
As CHAS is registered with the SSIP, we can use our CHAS accreditation to gain membership of other SSIP member schemes without having to undergo duplicate applications via the Deemed to Satisfy agreement.
CHAS accreditation is achieved via a robust and detailed desk top assessment by qualified assessors, carrying out a thorough review of health and safety management systems to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and comply with health and safety standards and current legislation.
RG Falla Limited is delighted to have achieved CHAS accreditation, and are able to reassure clients that we are committed to the highest standards of health and safety.
We are now licensed and entitled to use the CHAS logo.
